We are extremely proud to have been awarded Team of the Month for August in the SCFL Premier Division.

Following 5/5 league wins, remaining top of the league, and a win in the FA Vase on Saturday against Chessington & Hook, the Lancers first team, under the new management of Naim Rouane, David Altendorff and Kane Louis, in addition to the existing, Mark Stuart and Georgina Hill, have made an excellent start to the season.

Chairman, Steve Taylor, said: “Every club looks to start well in August, and ours started well in July with a great pre-season, unbeaten, with wins at higher-opposition Worthing and Three Bridges too.”

“Full credit to Naim and his coaching staff and of course to all of the players who have performed exceptionally well. It’s a long season but what a start and everyone at the club is buzzing.”

In what has been a great injection of exciting football to Culver Road, Lancers boss Naim Rouane added: “It’s a great start to the season, we’ve worked extremely hard as a club to achieve this!”

Attention now turns to the upcoming fixtures which begin to come thick and fast, as we play Newhaven twice in a week, before hosting Pagham next Tuesday, and Worthing United in the FA Vase a week Saturday.
