Rouane’s side take another short break from league action this Saturday, as they host local SCFL Division 1 side, Worthing United, at Culver Road. The Lancers have remained unbeaten in the league during the start to September, with a a 2-2 draw against Newhaven and 3-3 draw against Pagham, allowing Rouane’s side to retain their impressive 2nd place position in the Premier Division.
Alongside their league run, the first team have begun their run in the Peter Bentley Cup, with a 3-1 extra-time victory against Newhaven last week, and will host Seaford Town in the Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup on Tuesday night at Culver Road.
Saturday’s visitors have had a slow start to the league campaign, currently sitting bottom of Division 1 with a single point from 5 games.
It is sure to be a good game at Culver Road, in Saturday’s local derby – we also look forward to welcoming former Under-23s manager, Danny Wood, to Culver Road, after he took the helm at The Mavericks at the beginning of the season.
Kick-off is 3pm – turnstiles open at 1:30pm.
