Lancing have beaten off stiff competition to capture the signatures of highly regarded young duo Jaevon Dyer and Sam Bull from Dorking Wanderers and Eastbourne Borough respectively.

Dyer joins on a season long loan, having made a number of appearances for Dorking during their preseason campaign. The winger only recently joined the Wanderers after impressing with Epsom & Ewell FC.

“Jav” will look to gain valuable first team experience with the Lancers during the 2023/24 campaign and the skilful wide man goes straight into the squad for Saturdays FA Cup tie with Rusthall FC.

Bull has featured on several occasions for the front side at Eastbourne Borough but with opportunities becoming increasingly limited at Priory Lane, he has returned to Culver Road (after a brief loan period there last season) on a permanent basis.

Manager Dave Altendorff had this to say about the duo:

“Jav is someone I’ve had my eye on for some months now. We wanted to add a player to the group with pace and directness and he really ticks those boxes with his energy and creativity. I would like to thank Marc, Ross and everyone at Dorking for working with us to facilitate this loan and to help Jaevon develop as a player this season”.

“Bully is an excellent defender and has a real wand of a left foot. He impressed immediately during his trial period and we are thrilled that he has agreed to sign for the season ahead. He’ll be a great addition to the squad”.
