On this FA Cup weekend we welcome FA cup 2nd Round exiters Ramsgate to Culver Road.
Ramsgate currently sit top of the league table being 9 points clear on 2nd place Cray Valley PM who we face on Tuesday night at the Artic Stadium and then later this month at Culver Road.
Lancing had quite a bit to cheer about Monday when we welcomed Horndean to Culver Road. 4 goals in the 5 goal thriller putting us 6th in the table with just 2 points separating us and 5th place Sheppey United, but Lancing have 3 games in hand against Sheppey.
Chairman Barry Sutton says “It is fantastic to be looking up the table rather than down, as we have over the previous couple of seasons. I cannot praise this group enough and hope that the community continue to get behind the team. Both the home and away support is growing week on week and it feels like we are building something special here. Ramsgate will be as tough as it gets but this team will give anyone a game, especially at Culver Road.”
Last week, Lancing were able to pick up 9 points in 6 days in what was a perfect holiday period for the Yellow and Blue army.
With Ramsgate’s average away fans being 642, Brighton being away in the FA Cup but also Worthing being home it is hoped that the attendance can top 400 for just the second time this season.
