The last time we faced the millers was at the Artic Stadium earlier this month as we held Cray Valley for a 1-1 on a freezing Tuesday night. Charlie Pitcher opened the scoring on 54 minutes with Cray Valley getting back into the game shortly afterwards. Both teams had a goal disallowed. Cray Valley missed a penalty in the second half which was put in the net following a rebound off of the post. The goal was disallowed as the same player who took the penalty scored the rebound without it touching another player in breach of Rule 14. Lancing’s Jack Meeres had an offside effort in the first half as well.

Both of these teams are on fine league form with Cray Valley unbeaten all season and with a 100% away record whereas the Lancers sit top of the form guide winning 8 out of the last 10 games since the defeat at Culver Road against Sheppey United in mid December.
