This Saturday sees our Race Night finally arrive! We will be under starters orders in the Sussex Lounge (bar) on April 6th from 6.30, following the home game against East Grinstead. The event will be run by GoRace Nights, entry is free and there is no need to attend the football match earlier in the day. It is anticipated that the evening will finish at approximately 9.30pm. There will be 8 races with 8 runners in each and supporters can buy and name their own horse in each race for just £4. Owning a horse
If you wish to buy and name a horse or horses in advance for just £4 then please message the club via social media, email barrystgermain1@gmail.com or message me via our social media channels. Because the race cards need to be printed in advance you have until Wednesday 8pm to buy your horse and name it. Please note that Lancing FC reserve the right to reject inappropriate names!!!!! You can still buy a horse after that time including on the day but you will not be able to give it that personal touch and name it yourself. There are currently 23 horses yet to be bought.
Sponsorship
Event partners Fishers Gin will be providing a bottle of gin to the owner of each winning horse.
In addition to buying a horse you can also sponsor a race for £25. This will allow you to name the race, have one horse entry in the race and will have your (or your company’s) name and logo on the race card. There will also be a number of horses/dogs sold on the night by auction.
There will also be a raffle held during the evening. If anyone wishes to donate a prize then please speak to Barry who will happily receive it!
Betting
There will be a tote running all evening which will allow you to bet on the outcome of the race.
Under 18s
Under 18s are allowed to attend the event but are not, by law, allowed to bet on the races.
All profits will go to Lancing Football Club. We hope to see as many of you there as possible and watch out for further announcements of social events soon.
