On May 25th The Crabtree Pub will be holding a family charity day to raise money for the club from 1pm and it promises to be a great day. There will be a BBQ, DJ, Raffle, rides, Ice Cream stand, lots of games and, of course, football. The Crabtree are looking for donations for the raffle so please get in touch if you have a prize you can give and raffle tickets will be on sale soon. It also happens to be FA Cup Final day! Please keep an eye on our social media pages and the Crabtree Facebook page Facebook for further details. Our thanks to Laura and the team.
If that wasn’t enough Lancing FC supporter Howie McConnell plans to run 42 milesĀ – a mile for every league match we have next season – to arrive at Culver Road in time for our first home friendly of the season. Eastbourne to Lancing FC – 001 (youtube.com) Howie will be known to many of you and he produces those fantastic pre-match videos as well as our promotional video that was released this season. If you don’t know Howie you almost certainly know his son, Preston, who can often be found leading the singing at Culver Road! Again we offer our thanks to Howie.
Chairman Barry Sutton said ‘The support we get from our local community is both amazing and humbling. For individuals and businesses to give up their time and raise money for us is incredible and we’ll do all we can to repay the faith they show in us! I cannot thank Laura and Howie enough and hope as many people locally as possible get behind their efforts. I’m more likely to be found at the BBQ at the Crabtree than going on a run with Howie personally.’
