This weekend we welcome the players, management, fans and committee members of Sheppey United Club in a crucial game either end of the table. Whilst we are still monitoring the impact of Storm Darragh on the ground the pitch is a 3G pitch so the game would only likely be called off if conditions around the ground become unsafe or the wind becomes too heavy that the ball is unable to stay still. The visitors currently sit 5th in the league table being a crucial game for both teams since the games for teams around us have been called off with the adverse weather conditions.
It’s been a busy week at the Lancing FC Headquarters as manager Sam Morgan has been strengthening his squad with returns for George Taggart and Jack Meeres both of whom the Lancing fans know well as they were both apart of last season’s team. Jack joins us again from Haywards Heath Town and he has been solid at the back for them this season getting himself on the scoresheet on multiple occasions. George rejoins us from Whitehawk after leaving in the summer. George made 19 appearances and scored 7 goals for Lancing in the last season. Fans will remember his nickname as Gorgeous George Taggart. Both of these new signings are available for selection this afternoon
