This weekend we welcome the players, management team, fans and club officials from East Grinstead Town in a Sussex Derby. We hope you have all had a safe journey down and enjoy your afternoon with us by the sea.
We have already played East Grinstead twice this season once in the league and the other time in the Sussex Senior Cup both of these fixtures coming in November. Firstly brought the Senior Cup action in which the Lancers came out victorious to progress us onto the next round with goals in that game coming from Ahmed Belgarne and former Lancer Matt Daniel with an own goal. The second time was at the end of November in the league where Harry Heath scored a brace and Tashae Andall-Gibbons sealed it for 3. It was also in this fixture that we heard the news that Alex Laing was stretchered off of the pitch but has since made a speedy recovery and making his return to get some game time. East Grinstead currently sits in 15th place before kick-off with 28 points from 23 games whereas the Lancers still routed in 18th place with 21 points from 27 games and we know we are looking and trying to narrow the gap on Herne Bay and widen the gap with the bottom 4 with Littlehampton and Hythe Town all 3 of these teams not in action this weekend
