On Monday 29 March, as part of the next stage of the Government’s roadmap out of national lockdown, the Culver Road stadium will re-open for organised adult football, and we will be welcoming back our first team Mens & Womens squads.

Spectators

Spectators are not permitted to attend any training sessions or matches as part of stage 1.

Currently, the government has said it will allow spectators back no earlier than from the start of stage 2 on 12 April – we will provide updates on this nearer the time.

Fixtures

Our Mens first team will be participating in the Buildbase FA Vase and Southern Combination Football League Premier Division – Supplementary Shield. The Lancers have been placed in Group B with Pagham, East Preston and Steyning Town.

The FA Vase Fourth Round fixture against Flackwell Heath will take place on Saturday 17 April at Culver Road and a live stream paid service will be hosted for home & away fans by our partners at Your Instant Replay. The FA will confirm updates for in-person spectators nearer the time.

Meanwhile our Supplementary Shield fixtures will take place from April to May.

You can view our first team fixtures here.

The Womens squad will be competing in an informal league tournament in the absence of any organised competitions, and once aware of fixtures these will be uploaded to our website.

Ahead of exciting restructuring plans for next season, we will not be entering our Under-18 or Under-23 squads into competitions running from April-May, but will be in touch with members with updates ahead of the 21/22 campaign.

Training

Training will begin from Tuesday 30 March with no spectators (one parent/guardian permitted for Under-18s) – players will receive updates from their manager on details of sessions.

Stage 1 COVID-19 Guidance

From 29 March until 12 April

Spectators

Spectators are not permitted to attend any training sessions or matches as part of stage 1.

Currently, the government has said it will allow spectators back no earlier than from the start of stage 2 on 12 April – we will provide updates on this nearer the time.

Travel
The Government guidance on travel is that the ‘stay at home’ rule will end on Monday 29 March, but many restrictions will remain in place. As organised sport can resume, all participants may travel to games but should avoid travel at the busiest times and routes, as well as minimising any unnecessary journeys where possible. All participants must follow the Government’s guidance on safer travel.

Changing rooms
Changing rooms cannot be used as part of step one in the roadmap out of lockdown and must remain shut. Toilets will be allowed to open, 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after training and/or matches. All government guidance on hygiene and social distancing measures must be followed.

Further Information

Before the return of football, updated covid guidance will be circulated to all members & squads.

You can also consult our covid resource page here.

From 29 March our sessions will be held behind-closed-doors at the Culver Road stadium, with no indoor facilities or changing rooms allowed to open.

We look forward to welcoming squads back soon, and we hope to be able to eventually see spectators back at the stadium again as the roadmap progresses, in line with government regulation.
